PowerCom Features

PowerCom is an ARS (Audience Response System) or GRS (Group Response System) software product as a Microsoft Office PowerPoint add-in, not stand alone ARS software. When conducting meeting, training and presentation, PowerCom allows you to gather polls from audience for their feedback. By using PowerCom along with wireless keypads, you can record polling data and display the resulting data in a graph. I. Installation:

    1. Easy and user friendly set up program
    2. Automatically detect older version of PowerCom and upgrade to the current version after confirm delete older version from user.
    3. Installation program validate the system requirement and instruct user to meet minimum requirements using Fail, Warning, and Pass indicators.
    4. Install all Windows Registry for all installed software automatically.
    5. Include Hardware driver

 

II. Set up and system configurations:

    1. Com port selection and auto detect available Com ports with Help instruction.
    2. Change channel function.
    3. Keypad settings function available for ReplyWorldWide.
    4. Keypad range setting function.
    5. Test keypad with easy to understand color display.
    6. Allow user to select the result polling data file path.
    7. Merge and combine polling result data file.
    8. Disable some configuration feature from UI front end and restrict the setting via Windows registry.

 

III. PowerPoint Slide question design:

    1. An easy four step Poller wizard to insert polling object to capture keypad voting.
    2. Only three steps are mandatory, music setting is optional at step 4.
    3. Automatically capture question via PowerPiont title text box and answer choices via text box.
    4. Allow user to enter question summary in 1 to 2 words.

    6. Force “Start polling right after slide shown” as default option, modifiable only via Windows registry.

IV. PowerPoint Slide Show:

    1. Slide show confirmation allow user to change slide show configuration and settings before slide show.

    4. Allow user to change result polling data path location.
    5. Resume polling from previous incomplete slide show or re-start from beginning.
    6. Instant display polling result and skip the result as an option.
    7. Easy normal slide show navigation suing space bar.
    8. Additional hot keys for easy navigation override.
    9. Adopt most of the PowerPoint hot keys for normal slide (without question poller).
    10. Right mouse click on poller as alternative without remember hot keys.
    11. Disable conflict PowerPoint hot keys for the question slide.
    12. Continue voting or re-set vote count to re-vote options after vote stopped or result display.
    13. Slide show data analysis advance option as a separated window display.
    14. Page up key to review previous slide.

Some common Restrictions:

    1. Only single choice, Can not have multiple choice (select more than one answer from the choices)
    2. Most of the keypad systems has up to 10 answer choices
    3. Input keys are very limited. Not suitable for free expression or non-single choice format of test.
    4. Good for in person attending meeting and should be live & real time, not good for individual answering question from internet or by his own pace.
    5. Not a good idea for large amount of data to be choose from (due to the limitation of screen space)
